ahoy, Cap'n!

I just finished
An entire bag
Of Chips Ahoy

Yes, my friends
An entire bag

A small bag, mind you
If that helps to
Make you think
I'm any less of a pig
LMAO

I don't know what got into me
Other than about 10,000 calories
:)

Oh yeah, and two HUGE mugs
Of milk
So it wasn't entirely
Junk

So now my little buddy
Is bouncing all over
His uterine bouncy castle

Makes for an interesting afternoon

:)

effing ridiculous

As you all know
(As loyal readers of my blog :) )
We've had to revert back to the olden days
In terms of internet use
Here in our new
Humble abode

So far, it isn't too, too bad.

Until today.

See, today I finally loaded the software
For my digital camera
So I can start downloading pictures again
And uploading them
To sites where I send them to develop them

Mostly because I'm too lazy to
Stand at a machine at a store
And go through them all there

Sigggghhhhhhh.

I have 58 pictures to send in
I clicked "SEND" at 2:50pm
It is now 3:49pm
And the little "uploading" thingy
Is still bouncing
Back and forth
Back and forth
Back and forth

I have managed to take a shower
(We swam this morning,
So I have a late shower on Fridays)
Put in a load of laundry
Change THAT load to the dryer
And put in ANOTHER load
Blowdry my hair
Change
Make a cup of tea
And sit here and watch the Y&R
While the effing thing is still
Bouncing away.

And it STILL isn't done!!
And NOR does it tell me
What percentage is left

I have to start a petition or something
We have to get highspeed out here
SOON

Or else I have to get my butt in the store
And do the picture thing there

Nah
I'm too lazy.

greed

I'll admit it
I have it sometimes

Actually, maybe I should
Soften that up a bit

Most of the time
I want my cake
And I want to eat it,too

EVERYONE I know
Is going somewhere hot in a few weeks

EVERYONE.

'Cept us

This will be the first year
In a LOOOOONG time
That we aren't

'Cuz stupid 'ole me
Has to give birth soon

;) (lol)

See what I mean?
How effing greedy is that?!?!?

I guess I'm feeling a bit guilty
Because we had a trip to Disney planned
For April
That we are postponing
Until next year

My very smart 2 year old is SO ready
for Disney
Some say I'm crazy
"She's only 2, how could she be ready??"
Indeed, she is, I say

Anyway, Disney, Cuba, the Dominican
Hawaii or Mexico
I'll take anything today
As I look out my window
At the snowsqualls
Wind blowing
Effing cold outside

But then I feel a boot in the gut
I look down and smile

That's his way of saying
"Get over yourself, mom"

I will. :)

worries

So, I'm starting to think back
And I'm starting to worry

For some strange reason
I can't shake the image
Of the Anethesiologist
Sticking a needle
Into my spine

Now, not that I actually SAW it
As I was too busy
Curling my back
And keeping perfectly still
As to not paralyze myself

You know how hard it was to keep
"Perfectly still"
While my contractions were
One minute apart

Shaking
Shivering
Crying
But, keeping still
You know

That's not all that worries me

I'm worried I will go into labour
Here alone
With my very smart 2 year old here
And no one else

Hub is an hour away
My parents are 20 minutes away
But they are heading to Florida
And on a cruise a few weeks before I'm due

They SHOULD be home in time
But I still get worried

I also get worried
About having to share "Me"

Let me explain

I look at my very smart 2 year old
And I wonder
"How can I love another child as much as I love her??"

You just will, the books say.
You just will, your friends say.
You just will, your husband says.

But, she already has a look in her eye
When she asks me "where did all my baby blankies go?"
And I tell her I've put them away
For her baby brother

She isn't mad
She doesn't cry
She just thinks and looks at me
And says

"That's ok mommy
I'll share with my baby brother"

(Tears well up now as they did when I first heard it)

It'll be fine
I know

But I still worry.

(PS..hey Nicole? Sorry for the epidural play-by-play...)

pet peeves

I'm watching "Farenheit 9/11"
On the Movie Network while I'm typing this
And it's burning me up
Just as it did when I first watched it.

But it got me thinking

A LOT of things bug me
And I can be a complainer
Bet you guys didn't know that
Did ya?
;)
(LOL!)

So, I'm going to be cynical for a moment
And share a few things with ya. :)

Things That Bug The Shit Out of Bonny:

George W. Bush
George W. Bush's sneaky grin
(Sidebar: The scary thing is, he looks a lot like my father)
Kevin Federline
Celebrities and Everday people that carry their dogs everywhere
When you call about a bill, they won't let you discuss it because it's in your husband's name
Parents that bring their kids to programs with runny noses, big time coughs and fevers
When someone beats me to be the first "scooper" in a new peanut butter jar
Webstores that don't deliver to Canada, but will deliver to Puerto Rico and Guam
Rain in the winter
Dying for a coffee but not being able to have one
Kevin Federline

Oops.
I mentioned that jackass already,
Didn't I?

two men

One named Braxton
The other named Hicks

Or maybe it was one guy
With 2 names

Or maybe a woman?

No
It has to be a man
That identified and named these
Since they are so uncomfortable
And tiresome

Anyway, this is my first experience
With these fun little things
Didn't have them with my pumpkin

There! It MUST be because it's a BOY.

Anyway, I'm having a handful of them a day
Not fun

Doc says it's ok as long as they aren't regular
They aren't
And as long as they are accompanied by other unpleasantries
They aren't

15 more weeks of these?
Fun?
Not so much.

But I'll live :)

(PS: 2nd Ultrasound was perfect
Everything exists
Everything is intact
And in perfect working order
Thank you, very much)

Phew :)

funny little things

We've been hanging out
Alot at home lately
Just the after-holiday 'lazies'
I suppose

In doing that
Some funny little things
Come out of my
Very smart 2 year old's mouth
That I just have to laugh out loud

Like what, you ask?

Like, after her bath
While she's standing with the towel on
And I'm making sure that EVERYTHING is dry
And the towel just happens to 'stick'
Somewhere unexpected
(You all know what I mean)
"Heeeey, Mommy...it's stuck in my butt!"

Like, if I'm getting changed in front of her
Quickly though, even though she's little
I've never been comfortable with that
"Nice boobies, mommy...they're big"
(Something she also likes to announce
In the changeroom at her swimming lessons
Behind closed doors
But in the loudest voice)
The snickers that follow
Are really enjoyable

When she runs and leaps on me
And I warn her about not being too, too rough
On her baby brother in mommy's belly
"Can we pull him out yet? I want to see him"

When I'm getting ready to go out
Nowhere fancy, just groceries, etc
And I'm putting on some make-up
"I need to put on my make-up, too"
(You don't need make-up, you're beautiful)
"Yes I do, for my wedding"
(Who are you marrying?)
"Daddy"

Not to mention
That she dances around the house
Singing "Lovely Lady Lumps"
By the Black Eyed Peas

Hub says "that's a good song to teach her"
Rolling his eyes
I tell him that I didn't
She picks up every song she hears
A talent that I've always had

Cute as a button
She is.

deux milles six

(Pretty good, eh Heidi?)

Happy New Year Everyone
Hope it was festive :)

Back to the grind
Preschool for my pumpkin
Swimming for my pumpkin
Library for my pumpkin
Work for Hub
Getting things ready for baby

My new focus
Go through the tubs of clothes
To see what I can salvage for a boy

The first few months should be fine
We didn't know what we were having
The first time
So all her sleeps are
White, yellow, green, etc
Plus I never really dressed her up that much
She liked(s) comfies
Like her mama
Sweats, etc

That's exciting
Going through that stuff

We went for another ultrasound today
They didn't have a clear pic
Of his nose and lips
So they wanted to recheck them
Made me kinda worried
But my doc assured me it was
Just that
Not a clear pic

So there he was again today
Strong beating heart
Two kidneys
Perfectly aligned spine
Two legs
Two arms
A Penis
A Nose
And lips

The nose has two nostrils
And a nasal bone
The lips were a little faint
But there
"He's just thinned-lipped, I guess"
That's all I said

We were worried about a cleft-lip
Not the worst thing in the world
But still worrysome

Apparently you wouldn't see two
Perfect nostrils
If it were
The ultrasound lady said
But, she isn't a doc
So I'll wait until we see ours
Next week

But I'm confident now
That I saw what what I saw today :)

But he's growing wonderfully
And getting stronger
I can feel that strength
24 hours a day it seems

This one gives me no relief
That's for sure

LOL
I wouldn't have it any other way
