relief

Finally.
Rain yesterday.
BIG rain.
The kind of rain
That bounces off the ground.
You know the kind.

The kind of rain that
Crushes my Dogwood bush
As the roof water pours down
And out of the eaves
(I keep meaning to move that)
Surprisingly, though
It pops right back up again.

We've needed this rain
For a long time
Close to three weeks
Without a drop
But we needed it badly
To clear the air.

And it did.

There is actually a breeze this morning
That has a hint of coolness in it

Way overdue.

We will not see rain again til maybe December. But we were a half inch from an all time record this past rainy season, which ended in July.
We will soon be getting out smoggy season. Inlanders have been getting it for a long time already.
We are sitting in drippy fog at the moment, but the sun came out and it got into the 80's yesterday. And then the fog rolled back in....
Glad the rain cleared your air. I hate hot smoggy days and I cannot tolerate stifling heat!
Hey Bonn, when does MIL arrive????
