The whole idea
I'm okay with
Turning 40 next year

But I've really, REALLY
Grown comfortable
With the 3 in front of my age
That I think THIS
Will be a tougher birthday
Than next year

Anyway...
And Sunday
Is Canada Day
Wooohooo!!

We're having a bash
A pool party/BBQ thingy
It was supposed to be a few friends
But the list has grown
To about 39...

There's that number again...

Funny how that works, eh?

Our deck extension is complete :)

Our gardens :)

The new ice cream joint down the street :)

Things I'm Not Loving Lately:

My weight :( (thanks to the new ice cream joint, no doubt)
My hair :( (It's true..your hair changes after you grow a couple of babies)
The mosquitos :(
The mosquito bites on my daughter (even after a ton of "Off!") :(
The indoor jobs that are getting ignored because of the great weather :(
My sore neck (must be sleeping funny) :(
'The View' :( (Gee, I wonder why..lol)

OH, that's cold!!..but still SOOO funny!

At supper last night
My parents were over

We had corn on the cob

Lauren: Gramma, could you pass the butter?
Gramma: (While passing it) Are you going to put it on yourself?
Lauren: No...I'm going to put it on my corn.

Man, my kid is funny AND smart...
