Short and not-so-sweet

How does one be supportive
When you realize a friend
May be setting herself up for
A fall?
Or at least one big mess?

She's no dumbass
Not in the least
She sees it for what it is.

Sorry...
That's where my mind is this morning

Short and not-so-sweet.

Unless constant nagging works, then you will have to let her fall and just be there when she needs help up!

I agree with Nancy.
If trying to talk to her hasn't helped she may be destined to fall.

I think sometimes support comes in the form of, explaining why you don't support her but you still love her.

Being there for someone is so very important. She may know you are right but whatever she's going through could just be pulling at her stronger at the moment. Never give up and be there to help pick up any pieces if it's needed. She'll love you for the support.

There are some things that need to be learned first-hand. Lord knows I've been there and done that for FAR too long. It makes you smarter and wiser in the long run but at the time it can tear you apart. As a friend or family member, the best I can tell you to do is to be there because when she sees it for what it is and knows that she needs to get out, she will need you.
