the disappearance of spring

what is up with it?

disappointing
to say the least

it's been snowing here
for a week
on and off

we thought
that if we go to Florida
towards the end of March
we would come home
to spring

no such luck

all week
it rains in the day
snows at night
melts in the morning
rains all day
snows at night
melts in the morning

effing crazy

the kids are so over
winter activities
they are anxious
just to get out and run
or play on the bikes
or scooters
or whatever else has wheels

in my li'l man's case
walk
up and down the driveway

he'll do that all day

its the only place
they can play
because

with all the rain and snow
the lawn is a mushy mess

this weekend is
"SUPPOSED" to warm up

fingers crossed
for the kid's sake
and my sanity
